The Tan Sơn Nhat AIS Unit was formally established under the Decision No.48/QĐ-HĐTV dated September 22^nd, 2010 by VATM’s Members’ Councils.

The Tan Sơn Nhat AIS Unit is in charge of providing pre-flight and post-flight aeronautical information at Tan Son Nhat International Airport in accordance with ICAO’s standards and Viet Nam’s current regalutions.

The Unit’s main tasks are to obtain and provide aeronautical information/data; compile and validate (or check and update as necessary) Pre-Flight Information Bulletins (PIB) before release to aircrew, aircraft operators and other operators; provide detailed aeronautical briefings to personnel involved in flight operations, including flight crews. Besides, the Unit also initiates project NOTAM for processing by NOF; maintains library of related aeronautical documents; participates in compiling operational procedures and manuals and signing agreements on the provision of aeronautical information service with the related domestic/oversea agencies.

The Tan Sơn Nhat AIS Unit has two offices in which one office is located at Southern Region Air Traffic Management Company (No. 22 Tran Quoc Hoan Street, 4th Commune, Tan Binh District, Ho Chi Minh City) and another office is located at domestic arrival terminal, Tan Son Nhat International Airport.
