VVDL AD 2.20  LOCAL AERODROME REGULATIONS

1  AIRPORT REGULATIONS

At Lien Khuong Intl Airport, a number of local regulations are applied. The regulations are published in a manual which is available at the AIS Briefing Office as follows:

  1. Meaning of markings and signs.

  2. Information about aircraft stands.

  3. Information about taxiing to and from aircraft stands including taxi clearance.

  4. Marshaller assistance.

2  TAXIING TO AND FROM STANDS
2.1  

Arriving aircraft will be assigned a stand by Lien Khuong TWR.

2.2  Aircraft operational procedures
2.2.1  Aircraft operational procedures from RWY, TWY into apron and vice versa.
2.2.1.1  Apron 1
  1. For arrival aircraft:

    1. RWY 27: After landing → taxi on RWY 09/27 → aircraft backtrack at turn-pad area RWY 09 → taxi on RWY 09/27 → TWY E1/(TWY E2 → parallel TWY→ TWY E1) → apron 1 → follow strictly ATC’s clearance into stand.

    2. RWY 09: After landing → TWY E1/(TWY E2 → parallel TWY → TWY E1) → apron 1 → follow strictly ATC’s clearance into stand.

  2. For departure aircraft:

    1. RWY 27: Apron 1 → TWY E1 → parallel TWY → TWY E2 → the beginning of RWY 27 for departure.

    2. RWY 09: Apron 1 → TWY E1 → the beginning RWY 09 → aircraft backtrack at turn-pad area of RWY 09 for departure.

2.2.1.2  Apron 2
  1. For arrival aircraft:

    1. RWY 27: After landing → taxi on RWY 09/27 → aircraft backtrack at turn-pad area RWY 09 → taxi on RWY 09/27 → TWY E2/(E1 → parallel TWY→ TWY E2)→ apron 2 → follow strictly ATC’s clearance into stand.

Note:

  1. Aircraft is only arranged to park at stand 8R when there is no aircraft parking stand 8.

  2. Aircraft parking stand 9 may self-taxi out via stand 8 for departure when there is no aircraft parking stands 8, 8R and 8L (there are no aircraft parked at stands 8R and 8L at the same time).

  3. Aircraft departing at stand 9 is pushed back to the limit line, aircraft is towed ahead to ensure safety of aircraft exhaust gas the aircraft self-taxi out RWY for departure.

  1. When aircraft parking at stand 9 self-taxi out for departure, vehicles moving on the service road A1 of stands 7-9 must hold to ensure the safety distance.

9A
